Jodi K Thomas

I have been walking with Christ for 36 years, and stumbled upon the ministry of spiritual direction, alongside silence and solitude, in 2005, during a time of crisis in my life when my normal faith rhythms were no longer sustaining me…

My Background

Jodi received her MA in Spiritual Formation and Direction in December 2021 from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta. She received her BS in Education from The University of Texas at Austin. She has been helping others in their relationship with God for 35+ years. Jodi is passionate about the Holy Scriptures and is also a Bible teacher.

Jodi’s spirituality has been heavily influenced by Jesus, St. Ignatius of Loyola, Dallas Willard, and Henri Nouwen. Her favorite spiritual practices are silence and solitude, Lectio Divina, contemplative prayer, and Bible study.

She is a member of Grafted Life Ministries, a network of Evangelical Spiritual Directors of America.

…I had tons of head knowledge and theology, but my heart came nowhere close to reflecting what I believed. Think bobble-head with a grinch tiny heart. And yet, I had studied every book in the Bible and was actively involved with ministry. Something was wrong…

…In His kindness, Jesus has had me on a journey of becoming truly rooted and grounded in His love--the bedrock of all transformation. God has used spiritual direction, silence and solitude, and other spiritual practices to foster growth in my life.

Two, stone mountain peaks block the sunshine from fully emerging except for a section of rays spilling out at the base of the two peaks. A field of purple and yellow wildflowers are displayed below the mountains with a small pool of water and stones

My desire is to offer to others what has been a catalyst for deep transformation in my own life.

Jodi is married to her wonderful, funny husband JT and mom to Cole and pups Ridge and Roan. She loves hiking, reading, gardening, going on adventures, and eating yummy food with family and friends.
